MTV's Jamil Smith tweeted: "The opioid crisis doesn't discriminate"
We need to investigate how our current prison system works (or more specifically, doesn't work)
March 10, 2018 - Trump doubles down on executing drug dealers
February 1, 2018 - Welcome to Williamson, W.Va., where there are 6,500 opioid pills per person
Remember this story? THE DRUG INDUSTRY’S TRIUMPH OVER THE DEA
January 4, 2018 - Breaking News:
We are not winning the War on Drugs but Something must be done to keep stories like this from happening. MUST READ: Man who stole MAX stabbing victim's ring was once a hero too, until addiction
So Donald Trump ran for office saying these stories need to stop, he would help with the drug crisis. He lied,
War on Drugs: Someone at Stanford wrote
a paper about it: The United States War on Drugs
Lets take marijuana off the Controlled Substance,
Schedule 1 list.
Hmm... Someone seems to have the same idea, "In April, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said that it would review marijuana's classification as a Schedule I drug, considered the "most dangerous class" of substances." The DEA is getting dragged 'kicking and screaming' into the new world of marijuana
Someone else may agree with me too!
"After 40 years and a trillion dollars, the nation has little to show for its war on drugs. Prisons are beyond crowded and there's a new outbreak in the heroin epidemic. If it's time for a change, it would be hard to find a leader more different than Michael Botticelli. The president's new Director of National Drug Control Policy isn't a cop. He's lucky he didn't go to jail himself. And we knew that things had changed the first time we used the nickname that comes with his job, the "drug czar."
If you have been fighting a war for more than four decades, you are not winning that war. Put a Federal Tax on Marijuana sales and use the revenues from that tax to fund Drug Rehabilitation Centers.
Perhaps marijuana may actually benefit some people?
